The second week of our maps and geography unit was focused on weather! Weather has so many fun experiments we get to do and the kids were so excited!

We learned about the four different types of clouds and looked at some amazing pictures of each and then made our personal favorite type of cloud on an index card. We created a graph from our favorite type of clouds and had a refresher on greater than/less than, most, least, and equal. The kids favorite was cumulus: the big, fluffy clouds! My personal favorite was none of the kids'- cirrus: the wispy, thin clouds!

We learned about the wind and made windsocks from sentence strips and streamers. (GO BRONCOS!!)

We made clouds from shaving cream and then made it "rain" with food coloring! The kids loved this and were just in awe!

We also made a tornado in a soda bottle with glitter!

-Phonics: Digraphs- "SH"
-Reading: Ask and answer questions about unknown words, Describe the relationship between the illustrations and the text in which they appear
