1st Graders At Last!

Well, we made it! I had a blast putting together the End of the Year Kindergarten slideshow and looking back through all of the pictures I took throughout the year. Believe it or not, I'm with them so much that I forget just how little and just how needy (in the best way!) they were back in August... and how far they've come since then!

I've truly enjoyed this school year with each and every one of my KBabies and they will always hold a special place in my heart. I told the kids today that I will not be at Oak Hammock next year and how sad I am that they won't be able to visit me as they grow, but you're always welcome to email my personal email: lindsayham82@gmail.com and you have my cell phone number! I love getting texts/pictures of my old students and I hope that you keep in touch! I expect invitations to high school graduations! :)

Each class has a different personality and dynamic and they certainly teach me almost as much as I teach them... so I'll leave you with:

The Top 5 Things I've Learned from 2015-16 Kindergarten...

1. Sometimes you have to tell yourself "I got this because I'm so smart" -AV

2. "It's just like really hard to control your mouth when you just really like to talk!" -KD (Hard to argue with that logic! She knows what she likes! Ha!)

3. New shoes make you run sooooopa (super) fast! -DD

4. Glue stick caps magically disappear and sometimes you "just don't know how." -JJ (Story of our school year... If I had a dollar for every time I said, "We're not leaving this classroom until every glue stick has a cap!" Oh boy!)

5. Every day can be the BEST.DAY.EVER!!! if you want it to be.

Have an absolutely wonderful summer and do so many fun things that create so many great memories! Please read as much as you can as often as you can and practice math skills and sight words!
