Valentine's Week

We had a super fun week reading and writing about Valentine's Day! Our favorite books were "Crankenstein Valentine" and "Dragons Love Tacos!"

We also had a new trend: kids asking to read one of their "book bag" books to the WHOLE class! So this happened...

Our WHOLE class got stamps for the paw card! Have I mentioned how awesome Ms. Kate is?!

Ask Your Child About:

-Phonics: Vowel teams

-Phonemic Awareness: Sound deletion

-Reading: Comparing and Contrasting using double bubbles

-Social Studies: Community/Valentine's Day

-Math: Missing Addend

-Writing: What is love to them?

I uploaded all of the February pictures I've taken plus the Valentine's Party pictures to an album for you to look at and download any you want! :)

PLEASE donate for our gala basket- I know the timing with Jump Rope for Heart and Valentine's Day isn't great, but right now we don't have enough to fill the bucket!

Dr. Seuss Week is coming! I have a signup for that as well. I also will need some help with some of our fun activities if you'd like to volunteer to help make oobleck or green eggs and ham Monday or Tuesday!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and read a lot!

With SO much love,

Ms. Ham

Meet Ms. Ham

Hi, I'm Ms. Ham!  This is my 6th year teaching kindergarten. I love my job and my students (past and present!)  This website has all of our weekly updates to fill you in on what is going on in our classroom!  I hope that you leave with a kindergartener's enthusiasm for living and learning!
