This week, we started our last unit of living things (and of kindergarten!!): ocean animals! The kids have loved reading fiction & nonfiction books about dolphins, whales, manatees, sharks, etc.
The highlight so far has definitely been getting to hold a real whale bone from Florida and measuring the length of whales out in the hallway!

The whale bone and the picture of the skeleton of the whale! It was a little tail bone... HUGE!
We also started reading buddies for the last couple weeks of school with Ms. McIntosh's 2nd grade class! The kids LOVED it.

& We had our PJ and electronic party on Monday!

Thank you to all of you who went out of your way to make me feel loved and appreciated this teacher appreciation week, though I have to say that I feel loved and appreciated **most** days! It was so thoughtful & unnecessary, but truly made my week! I always send home personal thank you's with your child, so if it didn't make it home- please know that it was written! :)
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
With SO much love,
Ms. Ham
