We had a lot of fun continuing ocean animals & living things this week! We had tons of hands-on centers and the kids loved them!

Sight words in the sand!

We had a blast on Games Day on Thursday! They were so exhausted afterward!

"Ms. Ham, I crushed it out there!!"

We've been working on our kindergarten memory books & they're such sweethearts...

Ask Your Child About:

-Graduation: What is your line in the ABC poem? Can you practice all your songs and poems?

-Phonics: vowel teams, diphthongs

-Phonemic Awareness: Sound Manipulation

-Math: A Year in Review math packet- they did really well with this but please ask them to identify and describe 2d and 3d shapes...that's our weakest area!

-Reading: Reading for information/facts- What is a glossary? How do you use a table of contents?

-Science: Living Things- What are some similarities and differences between 2 ocean animals?

-Writing: Ocean animal writing & Kindergarten memory books!

Reminders:

-Graduation caps are due Wednesday please!!

-No more homework for the last week of school, but please continue reading every night!

-Graduation invites went home on Thursday! Please come see your child graduate kindergarten on Friday 5/25 at 10:15 am! They are free for summer after our celebration and I will have a sign out sheet in the classroom for those wishing to continue the celebration at home! :) :) :)

Hope you had a wonderful weekend! 5 more days left of kindergarten with these little loves!

With SO much love,

Ms. Ham

Meet Ms. Ham

Hi, I'm Ms. Ham!  This is my 6th year teaching kindergarten. I love my job and my students (past and present!)  This website has all of our weekly updates to fill you in on what is going on in our classroom!  I hope that you leave with a kindergartener's enthusiasm for living and learning!
